“Good morning!” Lucy calls as she enters your workplace.

You look up from your notebook and furrow your brows when you see several bags hanging from her arm. There is confetti printed on them, and your shoulders automatically tense when she smiles and walks toward you.

“Where are the guys?” she inquires, leaning forward to look over your shoulder.

“Busy,” you answer quietly.

“Is that Lucy?!” one of the guys in question yells before he walks down the hallway. “Lucy!”

“Darry!” she replies, smiling as she fist-bumps him. “I need your help with something.��� Turning toward you, she adds, “That means you, too.”

You shake your head, but Darry smiles at you and leans against your desk to distract you while Lucy enters the hallway to find Jay. She and Jay seem to enjoy testing the limits of your shyness more than anyone... except maybe Tim.

“Okay, listen,” Lucy demands as she returns.

You think you see her hand leaving Jay’s. Then she raps on the table and distracts you from your internal evaluation of their relationship.

“This,” she begins, reaching into the bag. “Is for you.”

Your eyes widen as she removes a Yoshi costume, a printed onesie with a hood and shorts, and then tosses it toward you. As you catch it against your chest, she passes Darry and Jay each a bag, winking at Jay before she steps back.

“I was shopping for Halloween decorations for my apartment and saw these. Put them on and we have to film some videos of you guys in them.”

“What even is Yoshi?” you mumble as you examine the costume.

“He’s a dragon,” Jay answers.

“No, bro, he’s a dinosaur,” Darry argues. “Hey, why does he get to be Mario?”

“Because he looks better in the mustache,” Lucy explains.

“You’d think so,” you whisper as you move your chair away from the desk.

Lucy’s eyes widen in surprise at your bold comment, but she waves her hands quickly, encouraging you to change.

“I have scripts!” she adds as you enter the restroom.

When you emerge in your Yoshi costume, Jay twirls the faux mustache beneath his nose and uses an Italian accent to say, “Yoshi! Welcome home!”

“She looks more like she’s in another place that’s four letters and starts with h,” Darry points out.

“C’mon, this is fun!” Lucy encourages, bouncing slightly. “I was thinking that you guys can film a few funny videos on your own and then I can give you the ideas I had.”

“Why?” you ask, holding your fingers together behind your back.

“Just for fun. I won’t post them, I promise. Now, get in your places. And… action!”

Lucy holds up her phone and smiles behind the screen as she records Jay walking into the frame.

“This red brings out my mustache, hey, Luigi?” he jokes in the same accent from before.

“Sure!” Darry agrees, walking behind Jay. “Except nobody’s ever seen a Dominican Mario.”

“He’s from Puerto Rico,” you point out, allowing Darry to push you to Jay’s side.

“My trusty sidekick is right!” he exclaims, placing his hand over your face when you open your mouth to argue that you are not his sidekick. “But it’s the same island!”

“No, it’s not,” you, Darry, and Lucy say together.

“Who’s the game named after?” Jay challenges.

“Who loses his girlfriend to an anthropomorphic turtle every week on date night?” Darry retorts.

“Did someone call the police?”

You turn quickly, disturbing the Yoshi hood over your head, and immediately drop your eyes when you see Tim leaning against your desk, watching the show in his patrol blues.

“I did,” you answer. "Don't worry, Bowser isn't involved this time."

Lucy begins laughing and ends the video as she bends forward and attempts to catch her breath. Jay lays a hand on her shoulder and continues to flirt with her as Darry tries to provoke him further. Meanwhile, you slowly approach Tim’s side with your eyes on your bare legs below the shorts of your costume.

“What are you?” Tim asks, and you can hear the smile in his voice.

“Yoshi,” you murmur, taking his hand to look at it rather than his face.

“Cute.”

“Lucy made me,” you add. “She wanted a funny video for Halloween.”

“I would’ve gotten you a better costume if I knew you wanted one.”

“I didn’t,” you explain as Lucy interjects, “You couldn’t have found better!”

“Maybe we should stop on the way home and I’ll find one you’ll enjoy looking at since you can’t seem to make eye contact today,” Tim whispers as he pulls you closer.

You whine and drop your forehead against his shoulder. He apologizes though he's aware that he’s pushing you but totally insincere.

“Can’t leave yet,” Jay calls. “Lucy isn’t done with us yet.”

“Maybe we should make one to explain why we’re all the wrong race for our characters,” Darry suggests.

“Ooh, yes!” Lucy agrees, raising her phone.

“Nobody messes with Puerto Rican Mario,” Jay purrs in his Italian accent.

“Help,” you whisper against Tim’s shoulder.

“After I hear the explanation of how a girl as pretty as you ended up dressed like a dragon.”

“Dinosaur!” Darry argues as you attempt to hold onto Tim’s hand to escape the camera and the reminder that your friends don’t care about you or how shy they’re making you.

Hyunsuk will always be the first to initiate everything including the first kiss. He invited you to his studio, listen to a few of his demos while he explains his inspiration behind them and while you think he doesn’t notice you adoringly staring at him, he leans his head on the back of his chair and turns to look at you asking your opinion. You enthusiastically responded and noticed his gaze and his smile which was too cute for you and you asked him what was wrong. He shook his head and said nothing before pushing his chair closer to you and gently extends his head close. Before you know it, his lips are already molding gently with yours.

It has been a long day and your legs are already getting tired so you leaned against a table while he yaps away about the what the two of you have done earlier. He turned and you forced yourself to smile at him and that smile slowly went away and he stalks over to you. Jihoon was all fun during your date earlier and his smile was just the brightest thing in the world but right now, that smile seems a little wicked. Your breath got caught in your throat when he caged you in between his strong arms and you look up at his face only to meet with his eyes that are slightly dark and it is as if you are caught in a trance, you just watch Jihoon’s face moving closer to yours and your eyes closes when he started kissing you.

Yoshi is just too innocent. You have lost count on how many hints you have thrown at him and yet the man is still oblivious with everything. He was busy trying to search for another anime that he has been watching to show to you and you realized, he will never get it. The moment he looks up from his phone, you reached up to cup his face and push yourself on your toes to reach up to his lips with yours. It took point three seconds for Yoshi to return your kiss and when he did, you could feel his body relaxes with his arms wrapping around your waist pulling you closer to deepen the kiss.

Junkyu is a tease. You and him have been going on flirting with each other, holding each other’s hands, leaning on each other’s shoulders, whispering into each other’s ears and many others. It was a fun date and before it ended, Junkyu pulled you into a photo booth and you both tried your best to plan out various poses. On the second last frame, Junkyu caught you in a surprise when he kissed your cheeks but before you could process what was happening, the last frame was going on a countdown. Junkyu pushed his cheeks closer to you so you could kiss his cheeks. You chuckled for a while and told yourself to just play along. Just as the camera was about to snap, Junkyu turned his face and peck your lips, catching you completely off guard. You could feel your cheeks burning and caught a glimpse of his pink cheeks too just as he cackled and left the booth.

Deck Reviews: Tarot of the Divine by Yoshi Yoshitani

WHAT IS THIS DECK?

Published by Clarkson Potter (an imprint of Penguin Random House), and created by Yoshi Yoshitani, Tarot of the Divine is a standard tarot deck, 78-cards split into Major and Minor Arcanas.

The theme of this deck is folklore and stories from around the world. It does a good job of being inclusive and including stories/folklore from more than just Europe and Asia.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE & QUALITY

The cards are utterly beautiful, and I hope that really shows through with the picture given below. They have a finish which makes them shine just a little bit in the light.

The cardstock is high quality and shuffles well, at least overhand shuffling. The cards are thicker than the other tarot decks I own, so this deck stands "taller" than the average tarot deck.

GUIDEBOOK

The guidebook is small and succinct, giving a short blurb of each story before going into a small comma list of upright and reversed each. Some readers may find the list of meanings to be a bit too small, such as myself, who prefers a bit more information to be given. This isn't an issue, though, with my reading style and personal records on tarot reading.

The guidebook comes with 3 simple spreads, a one-card, a three-card, and a five-card spread.

This deck comes with an optional side book you can purchase that goes deeper into the stories that the author picked for each of the cards. I personally did not do this, so I can't speak on the quality of the optional book. If anybody owns it, feel free to chime in in the replies of this review. (Update: Someone did that in the reblogs, jasper-tarot-reader! They also brought up a good criticism about the Rainbow Crow card that I missed. Please go there, I've also reblogged it onto this blog.)

This deck is great! I use it very often, as I use it as a guide communication deck for some of my most prevalent guides, and it holds up really well. There's no damage to the cards in the over a year that I've owned it.

As well, the energies of this deck are wonderful. While some of it is absolutely just the spirit of the deck I own specifically, I can attest that so much love went into this deck from the creator which shines through into the cards.

The Nintendo Character Manual From 1993 Is Not Canon

So something that is brought up here and there when people are trying to craft lore surrounding the Mario Canon is the Nintendo Character Manual from 1993. This manual is an invalid source of information for the Mario Lore because it is intended for Western Marketing purposes. But also it contains inaccurate information about the Mario characters.

So here are a few. So under Mario's profile and in his blurb it mentions Mario is from Brooklyn. So while this might have been an idea in development for Mario, it was never stated in games or manuals. At most this is what Mario is inspired by. But regardless by now it has been fully established this is not the case. It as adds in a about a squirt gun which doesn't exist anywhere else. Mario is also described to deal with bathrooms even though he is intended to be a construction plumber in game.

Next is Princess Peach who is description mentions the Mushroom King, which is not a canon.

Bowser's description says that Koopas hate and fear him, something that was never stated to begin with. Furthermore in future games it's been established Bowser's Minions adore him. His description also states he invaded the Mushroom Kingdom because "he can't stand the sight of happy fungi." This has never been stated elsewhere to my knowledge, and Bowser does what he does because he is trying to conquer different places.

Toad's description just adds in a bit which I don't recall seeing in nay official material, where is claims he was away during the Koopa War visiting relatives in the Fungus Federation.

Yoshi's description claims his name is T. Yoshisaur Munchakoopas which is not a name found anywhere else. This is a common theme of the localization team adding details that were never in the original source material. Similarly Mario being called Homo Nintendonus is also an addition, and one that contradicts official sources. Nintendo has gone on record claiming Mario is a human, and they have never used the name from the manual. So while it is true anything that is a member of the Genus Homo is human, when most people like says Nintendo use the word human they are typically referring to Homo Sapiens.

Wario's description adds in information that seems to also be a result of the localization team. Saying he was jealous of Mario's plumbing skills and good looks, as well as claiming he wants a degree in Plumbing Science.

My opinion on the whole "Birdetta" thing

Listen let me preface this by saying I'm a huge lifelong Mario fan, and I'm also a trans woman. I also really like Birdo as a charecter. Imo she's one of my favorite charecters in the entire series and I love her and Vivian for being one of the few trans reps in media as a kid.

That being said, my personal headcanon regarding Yoshis and Birdos are that they're the same species. Much like Hens and Roosters, they look extremely different and most people treat them as different species but they're the same species, just they have extreme differences in appearences. So I always thought Yoshis and Birdos were the same species, just Yoshis were the males of that race and Birdos were the females of that race.

I mean...correct me if I'm wrong but we haven't seen any explicitly Yoshis who are women, or Birdos who are men in the games. So it checks out right? And we haven't seen any Yoshis or Birdos named anything other than well...Yoshi and Birdo respectively. I always thought this was common place in the mushroom kingdom. There are some deviations to this rule though like Gonzalas Jr. From TTYD or any Toad who's name isn't Toad.

So I always thought the main Birdo in the Mario series...the one in Mario 2 and who's playeble in the spinoffs. Was originally named "Yoshi" and now is Birdo. With Birdetta being a possible nickname.

As for the Mario 2 manual it could possibly be a mistranslation...they mixed up Ostro and Birdo's names after all. Or it could be a case of early instalment weirdness with her name. There's so much weird stuff in earlier instruction manuals that don't appear in the games so it could possibly be non canon at this point.

Another thing I would like to point out- is that Birdo's description in the Mario 2 manual is clearly a transphobic joke. It is meant to mock trans people. Birdo has become a genuine good and genuine peice of trans representation since then of course. But it still irks me that people are treating a transphobic, poorly translated blurb in a game released so early in the series as canon gospel over the last 20+ years of her being playeble in Mario games, it's annoying.

And besides I...don't think that Birdo's friends and boyfriend Yoshi would dead name her regularly. Plus it's not a pleasent thought to think Mario and his friends would dead name birdo for 20+ years.

So yeah I just wanted to put this out here. You can headcanon whatever you want in a peice of media, if you headcanon Birdo as Birdetta you do you. But you don't have to spam any post that even remotely mentions Birdo and make people adopt your headcanon about her. Just as you don't have to adopt my headcanon about Yoshi's and Birdos being the same species.

Movie Review Blurbs: The Super Mario Bros. Movie

The Highlights

-The brothers were the most endearing part for me, they had a wonderful dynamic that not only made me like them as a duo, but as individuals (from the Mario media I know, there wasn't much focus on their personality so it was nice watching something that gave them more character)

-Jack Black got to sing his silly songs and honestly that's all that matters

-The movie making fun of the egregious Italian accents in the beginning was a good gag, especially considering the two are still Italian in the movie and are given more accurate accents (also I love that they're canonically from Brooklyn lmao)

-Mario was a fucking crack head before the isekai and I enjoy that fact very much

-Yoshi avengers end credit scene

-Surprisingly decent voice acting, they all delivered (especially Charlie Day and Jack Black)

-The penguins, the Dry Bones, SHY GUYS

-Toad is a fucking criminal apparently who helps outsiders break into the castle and goes outside the Mushroom Kingdom to do god knows what

-Off the top of my head, my favorite part of the movie was Luigi running from the Dry Bones and ending up in Luigi's Mansion; great horror scene for a very PG movie

-Whatever the fuck was going on between Kamek and Bowser

-SHY GUYS SHY GUYS SHY GUYS SHY GUYS SHY GUYS-

-Mario and DK's frienenemy relationship was great, especially with how they butt heads but also understand (daddy issues) and respect each other (they're a good ship ngl)

-I liked Cranky Kong as a character, I feel like he was a character made to appeal more to an older crowd now that I think about it

-The implications? Of Bowser's entire fucking ship coming to the human realm? And totaling the city? Magic is real? What's gonna happen there is the U.S. government gonna try and harness the power of the magic realm and capitalize on it like there is so much left unanswered

-simp bowser lmao (many dudebros were mad about this one which automatically makes it the best plotline in my book)

-Mario and Peach weren't shown to have romantic feelings for each other, giving them time to actually get to know each other first

Criticisms

-Ok so let's address the main issue; the pacing. The movie severely lacked transition, bridging and buildup, and it felt less like a movie and more like a bunch of individual scenes thrown together (cause it kinda was). It was frustrating cause the movie was genuinely very engaging, and there was some real lost potential with how rushed it was. It definitely needed to be longer; I think the people working on it were on a time constraint, and it showed

-Pigging-backing off the previous note, a lack of build up to big moments made those moments feel like they came out of nowhere. it also lacked an after math period for those big moments, which makes them feel unsubstantial

-Ok rant time: I saw people having this concern for Peach being a dull #girlboss character that lacked substance, and... yeah, it happened. I think the issue of female characters being sidelined and not given any character depth is being acknowledged, but in a way that still doesn't give them depth. Basically, male creators have realized they've been making female characters useless love interests in the background, so they're fixing this by making said characters hyper-competent, and in the forefront of the fight. However, its had this adverse effect where these hyper-competent characters are now just serving as plot devices to push the narrative rather than being given their own character narrative. They are at the forefront, and fight, but are still lacking in depth and development (what's worse is they still just serve as aides to male leads most of the time, just now in a repackaged way that usually would be held by a side male character). The Mario movie was rushed so none of the characters got much development, but Peach in particular was not given any character development, only plot development (she got isekai'd and is wondering where she's from, but we don't see how this idea effects her emotionally or drives her because... it really doesn't. She's just kinda like "oh hey I'm from another universe... ok cool! Anyway-"). So yeah, that needs work. Male creators need to humanize their female characters like they do the male ones, and actually give them flaws and struggles (Peach literally has a gag about being so perfect she mastered the super hard parkour course they practice on in one go, while we see Mario work on it and improve over time; its lazy ass writing cmon now). Hence why I like consuming media that's actually by female creators, and I encourage all of you to do the same

-Mario and DK were great but again needed more fleshing out, they had this whole bonding moment about their daddy issue but it happened so fast that you couldn't really stew in it much

-Mario/DK's daddy issues were not handled the best, they only got their father's approval when they did something cool and not for actually being themselves; didn't like the messaging there very much

-Though I mentioned Mario x Peach didn't happen, the movie still very intrusively pushes the idea in your face by having side characters comment on it; I imagine this is what homophobes think they're experiencing when queer character exist in media, except this movie didn't even try to be subtle with the push

-Why did Toad just decide to help Mario find Luigi? Why did Peach decide to train Mario so she could take him with her to Donkey Kong Island? Just cause he's a fellow human? And why did she just decide to take Toad along too? Again, pacing

-Rainbow Road being a "secret path" that was literally out in the open and Bowser found it almost immediately lmao (it was also never narratively explained how Bowser found the path if I'm remembering correctly)

-The Luma gag was overdone imo, but the "finally, mercy" part was very funny

-no bowuigi sex scene -∞/10

Final Thoughts

Overall, the movie was very fun, but the time constraint really did bring it down from being a better ranked movie. Its frustrating because the movie had so much to offer, I wanted more from it, and that's why the pacing is something I'm hammering on so much. And for anyone saying "its a kid's movie, who cares?"... sorry I want kid's to have good movies? And not just the kind of drool that comes from Minions-type productions? Movies are art, and art should have the people behind it putting the best into their work that they can, kid's movie or not, so if something is bringing down that art (a time constraint for example) it should be criticized in my opinion. Plus lets face it, a lot of the people going in to see the movie were teens/adults who grew up on Mario.

Despite all this though, I genuinely enjoyed it, and my low expectations for what is an Illumination movie were pleasantly subverted. There was clearly a lot of love put into this film, and I can't wait to see if there will be a sequel. Thanks for reading!

you groaned. this would be the very last time you ever told ja’marr and tee anything. at least joe wasn’t obnoxious about any secrets. plus, knowing how hardworking he is, he’d probably have forgotten by time he gets home and sleeps.

upon sensing your annoyance, joe hushed his two best friends down. “okay, guys,” he said, smacking their shoulders, “that’s enough.”

ja’marr caught his breath, looking at you curiously. “okay, but…when did this crush start?”

you shrugged. to be honest, you could never exactly recall when your little crush on andrei started. crushing on people was not exactly your thing. but ever since you became part of the social media team and got closer to the players over time, you just kind of…liked him. he made you laugh the most, and he just had the most charming smile that you’d ever seen.

“don’t know,” you answered, folding your arms.

“well…he is nearby if you want to tell him.” tee nudged your shoulder.

“cmon, man. she aint gonna do that!” ja’marr interjected, making tee laugh.

at that, you gave the both of them a deadpan stare as they burst into laughter again. you look at joe, who seems to be holding back a chuckle of his own.

“yeah, um…i don’t see you telling yoshi that you like him. no offense.” joe added, shaking his head.

the problem is…they didn’t lie. you were extremely introverted as it is; plus, you had this tendency to be very quiet and pretend that you have no crush at all. it was kind of easier that way. but the fact that these three knuckleheads were teasing you made you want to prove them wrong.

and so, you turned on your heels and walked away, leading to some cheers from ja’marr and tee as they started whistling. meanwhile, joe watched, giving you a thumbs up as you looked back.

you couldn’t believe you were doing this.

soon enough, you found andrei, letting out an anxious sigh. you easily could just walk away, and nothing could ever come of this. but here you were.

“oh, hey, y/n!” andrei grinned at you, patting your head briefly.

“hey,” you chuckled, fixing your head as you look at him. “how’s the practice going?” you asked, folding your arms a little. “working hard, or hardly working?”

andrei chuckled; curse him and his attractive laugh. though, he everything that he did was attractive. it was like he didn’t have to try. and that pissed you off a bit. all he had to do was stand there and you’d fall for him. it was pathetic on your part, kind of. but who could blame you? you saw people’s tiktok edits of him. so it wasn’t just you who had the hots for him.

“working hard or hardly working,” he said, pretending to ponder, “i mean, it’s been a relatively easy day. so, i’d say the latter.” he nodded, watching as some of the other players did some drills out in the field. the weather was nice, the wind slightly blowing your hair a bit.

you nodded along as well, also watching the players run some drills. however, you were busy thinking about what on earth to say. conveying your feelings verbally wasn’t your thing. hell, conveying your feelings period wasn’t your thing; you’d rather do anything else than put your feelings into words, especially when it comes to some…crush.

before you could speak, andrei wrapped an arm around your shoulder, looking down at you.

“so. i heard ja’marr and tee earlier,” he said, raising an eyebrow, “seems like they were…bugging you about something.”

fuck. he heard? why must this happen to you?

“it was nothing. just them being ridiculous like usual.” you shook your head in denial.

“really? because ‘andrei and y/n sitting in a tree’ doesn’t sound like nothing to me.” he teased, shaking you a little.

your face burned in embarrassment. quite frankly, you felt like dying. this was humiliating. so humiliating. but at least this saved you a little bit of explaining.

“well. i guess i have a crush on you,” you admitted, sighing a little, “but don’t think i’m telling you this because you know now. i would’ve told you eventually.”

andrei laughed. you were funny. because this whole time, he knew you liked him. it was an obvious thing to him really. you lit up like a lightbulb when it came to filming tiktok videos for the official account, and you let him make all sorts of inside jokes with you. nine times out of ten, you were stoic, all business, very polite. but that little sliver of energy and joy came out when he was around.

“you’re not slick, y/n. honestly, i kind of figured you liked me.” he squeezed your shoulder, pulling you closer.

“oh.”

“pfft, ‘oh’ is correct,” he grinned at your reaction. “if you want though, we can hang out later tonight.”

“yeah…! i’d like that.” you nodded, your voice filled with a bit of excitement.

‘that was cute,’ andrei thought. he knew you enjoyed his presence and all, but seeing you so thoroughly joyed to spend time with him was precious.

“great. i gotta get back to practice though,” he pulled away, ruffling your hair once again, “see ya later, cutie.”

as he headed off to do more drills, you stood there. dumbfounded. in a way, you owed it to ja’marr and tee. if they weren’t being as obnoxious as they were, this probably wouldn’t have happened.

it was late at night, the stars twinkling brightly in the sky. the vibe was pretty casual overall, as you and andrei talked about life events and other things. it was nice, really. mostly because you were with the guy you’ve admired for a while, but that’s besides the point.

the both of you spotted a massive oak tree in a desolate area of the park. deciding to take a bit of a risk you guys decided to sit in it. finding a sturdy branch, andrei took your hand, helping you up and making sure you were comfortable next to him.

but, he didn’t let go of your hand. you didn’t mind though; in fact, it made you quite happy.

“y/n,” andrei spoke up after a moment, looking over at you, “do you know how amazing you are?”

that was a difficult question. because honestly, you didn’t know. you kind of just…existed. you did whatever you felt like doing. but to have someone like you like that and find your unapologetic personality worth liking…it made you happy.

“well…no, but you can tell me more, if you want.” you smiled, curious to see if he’d expand a bit more on his words.

“you’re just…awesome,” he began, looking at you fondly, “first of all, you’re pretty. stunning, even,” he smiled, “but on top of that, you’re just…different. i honestly thought you were just standoffish at first, but you’re probably one of the funniest people i know.”

“funny…? please…you’re the funny one. i only laugh because of you, really.” you shook your head as you nudged andrei’s side.

“then, i’ll wear that like a badge of honor.” andrei laughed, squeezing your hand tightly as you leaned against him.

you sighed, smiling as you rested your head against his shoulder, looking at the stars.

“i just think you bring out the best in me.” you stated, peeking up at him with a tender gaze. “i mean, you make me feel more expressive, more free. i don’t have to be so hardcore all the time around you.”

andrei chuckled, his hand sliding under your chin and lifting your head slightly. the feeling of your skin was soft underneath his fingers, and everything about you looked so beautiful. he was completely enamored by you.

“i’m glad i bring out the best in you, y/n,” he spoke sweetly, his own stare flitting down to your lips momentarily, “i think you bring out the best in me too.”

you let out a faint, contented laugh, leaning into his touch. but his eyes on your lips didn’t go unnoticed by you. you actually…liked it. with an odd feeling of confidence washing over you, you slowly leaned in towards andrei, also scooting in closer to his side.

deciding not to miss this opportunity, he too leaned in, his thumb sweetly caressing your cheek. your lips ever so gently brushed against his for a moment, the sensation sending a shiver through your spine.

you both eventually locked lips, arms wrapping around each other to hold the other as close as possible. it was almost as if the both of you feared the other would drift away.

everything about this moment just felt right. your arms around his shoulders and his own arms around your waist. the kiss was slow and tender, the both of you savoring this moment together; you’d occasionally pull away, sharing a bit of laughter and small pecks on the lip or cheek.

“well…i guess ja’marr and tee were right when they said me and you sitting in a tree.” andrei joked.

“pfft. k-i-s-s-i-n-g?” you added, giggle a little.

“yeah. first comes love, then comes marriage-”

“no babies in carriages, please,” you interject, shaking your head, “i can barely care for myself as is.”

the both of you shared a warm laugh, nudging each other as you joked. you looked at the stars for a moment, catching your breath with a happy smile. and andrei was just as happy as well, his own gaze on you. to him, you were the brightest star there ever was.

“so, cutie,” he started to speak, his hand caressing your waist, “what are we?”

that was a good question. what were you guys? surely not friends; friends don’t kiss in a tree.

you grinned, looking at andrei. “boyfriend and girlfriend?”

“sounds good to me,” he agreed with no hesitation as he stared at you lovingly, “me and you, boyfriend and girlfriend. i don’t think there’s anything better, really.”

and well, you had to agree. there was nothing you wanted more in the world than to be his. though you weren’t the most romantically experienced, you were excited to see where this relationship would go.

you’re interrupted by your thoughts when your stomach began to rumble.

“you’re hungry, huh?” he snickered at the grumbling sound, “how about we go get some burgers. it’s all on me.”

“hmm…do i get a milkshake too?” you ask, raising an eyebrow.

“whatever my favorite girl wants, she gets it.” andrei insisted, kissing your temple.

the two of you climbed down from the tree, heading to the nearby burger joint. in your mind, you knew ja’marr and tee would flip out and tease you relentlessly after this, but you didn’t care. in the end, you and andrei were in fact sitting in a tree, kissing.

and it was the best moment of your life.

Who I think the boys would main in Mario Kart!

Authors Note: Hi thank you for taking the time to read this little blurb! I got the idea for this from a post I saw earlier and I decided to make one for my favorite guys! This is my first time doing something like this so please go east on me!

Midoriya: Our little Midoriya would probably main Yoshi. Let me explain why! Yoshi is a kind and generous creature in the Mario Universe and loves his friends so much. Midoriya loves that about Yoshi so much and really connects with him on that.

Katsuki: Our little Katsuki would main Bowser. The most obvious reason why would be they both look scary and menacing. But we all know deep down that they have a soft side and around the right people can be emotionally vulnerable.

Kirishima: Kiri would main Donkey Kong for sure! Donkey Kong is described as being brave, helpful, trustworthy, loyal and very friendly. The same could be the said about our Kiri!

Todoroki: Todoroki would main Luigi for sure. It may seem like he just randomly choose Luigi but he sees similarities in him. They are both very clever and when it comes to their friends they are very tentative!

- Is absolutely terrified of Lou Jitsu until he found out more about him.

- Is Lou Jitsu's personal (medical) aid, he was forced to be.- Big Mama would've totaled his lab if he didn't do what she said.
